Robyn Beck-Gott

Development

Robyn Beck-Gott is the Executive Director of Sojourners’ Place in Wilmington, DE. In her role, Robyn realizes that Sojourners’ Place is a very special ministry as Sojourners’ Place is merely the vehicle to which an individual can address all the causes of their homelessness by helping them devise a plan that would assist individuals to get back on their feet. If individuals were going to be successful in the community, they had to have all resources available to help them make successful changes. Robyn has been instrumental in taking Sojourners’ Place to the next level.

Robyn has a strong Human Service background. She has spent 22 years working with developmentally disabled individuals who had been institutionalized for many years. This led her to develop her own business, Beck and Call, which operates out of Philadelphia, PA. In this capacity, she serves busy professionals and provides vital services to the elderly population. Robyn has worked in Human Services in many roles, including the Delaware Department of Correction in which her responsibilities included working with women who were leaving incarceration so that their transition was smoother when women returned to their families, and in high school settings where she connected with high school students.

From these experiences, Robyn connected a general theme in her professional life; that she found it very rewarding to make a difference in someone else’s life. Robyn has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Cedar Crest College, a Master of Human Services degree from Lincoln University and is a Licensed master’s Social Worker in the State of Delaware. Robyn serves on the Advisory Board of Delaware Technical Community College School of Human Service and Drug and Alcohol and has been recognized as an Outstanding Young Woman of America. Robyn has been named by Delaware Today and Delaware Business Times as one of 40 most empowering Women in Business. Robyn finds it very rewarding to support New Life Adult Enrichment Center as services are tailored to being a part of the difference to those who need it the most.
