Initra Stephens is the co-founder and vice president of New Life Adult Enrichment Center. Initra's commitment to community is well evidenced by her unyielding work that began with her involvement with youth and social justice programs in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Initra is committed to the well-being of others. She has volunteered her time and expertise to the YWCA of Wilmington, Delaware as well as her local church. Her mission provides mentorship, coaching and career transition services to the residents of the YWCA. Initra also founded the Arbor Pointe Youth Center. The purpose of this program is to provide an affordable, safe and recreational summer camp for the children of working mothers. Most summer camps are not affordable if mothers earn too much to qualify for state support or perhaps their families are too large to send all of their children to summer camp without it causing financial hardship.

Initra's mission has folded into the overall objective of New Life Adult Enrichment Center which endeavors to be an advocate for displaced mothers as well as their children. Her impact on the youth she serves has been evidenced by their academic achievements and motivation to make consistent progress.

Initra has completed coursework in psychology and sociology at Widener University with a focus in human development. Initra believes it is important to remain perceptive and responsive to the needs of others. This is the driving motivation force for her work.

Professionally, Initra has been in the wealth management field for over 15 years. She connects her passion for financial empowerment to provide financial literacy resources for the youth she serves.
